How to crochet a book
I was looking for a crochet pattern for a book but strangly only found 1 (which I didn’t like that much) 📚. So I decided to make my own – and it turned out to be really easy. Here’s how:
Crochet a rectangle. I made mine 30 single crochets long (using a 2.5 hook) and 21 rows wide. Feel free to use whatever measures you like, just make sure that if you fold the rectangle in half, it resembles a book 😂.
I embroidered the front of the book with a Hogwarts letter⚡️😍. You can also surface-crochet the title on top of it. Or embroider other motives. If you’re going with a Harry Potter theme, try an owl, wands, the outlines of Hogwarts, the goblet of fire or a lightning bolt.
The pages are a simple rectangular piece: Crochet a rectangle (half the size of your book cover) in white yarn. Then using single crochet stitches, crochet around 3 sides of the rectangle. That way your pages look nice on the outside.
Place the pages in your book cover and fold it shut.
Bind the book. Use the yarn from your book cover and sew it together on 3 sides.
You can add your book to a baby clip – or a lovely mobile 🌟
